Abstract
This study investigates the impact of blockchain adoption on sustainable supply chain (SC) performance in the Moroccan context by drawing on the Resource-Based View (RBV) and dynamic capabilities theory. It examines the role of blockchain technology alongside organizational capabilities namely ambidexterity, agility, resilience, and organizational compatibility in enhancing supply chain sustainability. Data were collected from supply chain actors operating in Morocco and analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings reveal that blockchain adoption has a positive and significant effect on sustainable supply chain performance by improving traceability, transparency, and information security. Dynamic capabilities also play a crucial role in enhancing sustainability outcomes, while organizational compatibility facilitates the effective integration of technological and organizational practices. This research contributes to the literature by extending RBV and dynamic capabilities theory to sustainable supply chain management in an emerging economy and offers practical insights for managers seeking to leverage blockchain technology to improve supply chain sustainability.
